If you have submitted a Kaltura video for upload after successfully recording it(ie at the end of the recording you opted for the Save and Upload option), and yet after waiting a period of time, you have not been able to get it to successfully upload into the assignment or course that you are using it for, an error has occurred that can have caused the video to fail to successfully upload. When Kaltura begins uploading a video to its system, it has to have an uninterrupted period of time in which to do it.

Often however, when doing this via wifi, the internet can drop for periods, and this can lead to an upload error.

If you are on a wired connection and are experiencing this issue, remember that closing the Kaltura app while a video is still in the process of uploading can also cause this issue to occur. Until the upload is showing as successfully completed, do not close the Kaltura App and do not Sign out of your computer.

If this issue has occurred, you can reopen the app and then look for the “Manage” button on the right hand side of the app. This should open your Kaltura library of videos. Locate the video you need and click the “Re-Upload” button to the right of it to begin the process again.

If the issue continues to occur, you might be better off simply recording the video you wish on a different recording software, such as through Powerpoint or using a built in camera app. This is due to the way that Kaltura uploads function.

It may also be simpler to seek out a wired ethernet connection, such as school computers, to record and upload if all else fails.
