Q: What is the Account Management System (AMS)? 

A: The Account Management System (AMS) is a publicly available web service for self-administering OneTech password changes and first time account activations. 


Q: Am I able to use Forgot Password on AMS? 

A: You are able to use the Forgot Password process if you have previously activated your account using AMS (please see https://support.atu.edu/a/solutions/articles/7000019607). 


Q: If I am a previous Tech student or employee, do I need to activate my account?

A: If you were a student or employee prior to 2016, you will need to activate your account. If you are a previous employee or student and remember your old password you can use Change Password, otherwise you'll have to use Forgot Password.


Q: How do new faculty or staff obtain their OneTech ID/username and password?

A: New faculty or staff will be given their OneTech ID/username by the Human Resources Office. They will need to go to the Account Management System (AMS) website and use "Activate Account" to create their initial password. 


Q: How do previous Tech staff obtain their OneTech ID/username and password?

A: Previous Tech staff will use the same OneTech ID/username as the one they used before leaving Tech.  They will be emailed the information needed to activate their account on the Account Management System (AMS) website.
